STRATEGIC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The primary responsibility of this role is to devise a marketing strategy and implement processes, identify new business opportunities and introduce new clients to the firm.

There will also be opportunities to assist our existing clients with their business development, marketing and growth plans.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for business development
  • Have experience in leading a small team
  • Have the skill set to enhance the existing team’s strengths
  • Be able to devise and implement marketing strategies
  • Have experience of selling professional services or similar

This role is offered on a part time flexible basis with the possibility of increased hours/days.

Responsibilities:

  • Identification and prospecting of new sales opportunities
  • Ability to assist clients in marketing and business growth strategies
  • Arranging own appointments and meetings
  • Accurate and timely maintenance of sales records in a CRM system
  • Lead the marketing team with a concise marketing strategy

Requirements:

  • Strong professional approach to new business sales
  • Specialist in identifying new business prospects
  • At least 10 years experience in a sales or a business development role
  • At least 5 years of experience of leading a team
  • Knowledge and experience of financial services would be preferable
  • Self reliant and self motivated with excellent presentation skills

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The candidate will join an existing client team and will be looking after a number of clients “directing” them in management accounts, business plans and forecasts, tax and general advice and guidance.

They will also be involved in providing accounts, tax and business advisory services to a number of clients. They will have direct client contact and personally develop these relationships including working from the Client’s sites when required.

The candidate will have a desire to not only develop their existing skill set but will also have a desire for business development, recognising the potential for obtaining additional fees from our existing client base but also have a passion to win new fees and clients for our firm when the opportunity arises.

Requirements:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
  • Self-reliant and self-motivated, with strong presentation skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good IT skills, and knowledge of Microsoft and account packages, such as SAGE, Xero & IRIS

SENIOR RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT

Due to our expansion and the growing needs of our Clients, we are to looking to recruit a part-time Senior Recruitment Consultant, working 1 day a week.

The nature of this role will be extremely varied and will consist of recruiting finance personnel for our company but also assist in recruiting candidates based on the requirements of our Clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and place effective job adverts, monitoring responses
  • Screening CVs from applicants via many job sites
  • Prepare CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants
  • Attending first stage interviews involving questioning candidates and providing recommendations to management
  • Arranging second and third stage interviews
  • Implement and action the recruitment process of new starters
  • Request references and check the suitability of applicants

Requirements:

  • Experience within a recruitment role (sector experience not essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Highly competent user of IT systems, Microsoft Office and databases
  • Able to use own initiative and work autonomously
  • Knowledge of HR processes/systems with a supported qualification would be preferable but certainly not essential

TAX MANAGER

We are to looking to recruit a part-time Tax Manager, working 1-2 days a week.

You will join our existing accounting team and have experience of working on general tax planning issues, including personal and business tax compliance.

You will undertake an advisory focused role working with our existing clients and new clients handling an array of assignments focusing on personal and corporate tax work.  The role will consist of compliance and advisory work and you will be supported by other members of staff.

Our client base is centered around owner managed businesses across a range of sectors including manufacturing, engineering and retail.

Ideally you will be ACCA or ACA qualified and possess a tax qualification of either ATT or CTA and will have gained experience of working with a small to medium sized firm.  You must have strong tax experience, particularly within personal and corporate tax and good accounting knowledge would also be useful.

Responsibilities:

  • This role will be directly reporting to the Directors
  • Dealing directly with HMRC with both general queries and investigations
  • Working on a portfolio of clients

Requirements:

  • Possess the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Have a lively and confident manner and be able to work well under pressure
  • Practice experience is essential
  • ATT/CTA qualified
