Birmingham Heritage Week 2019

Birmingham Heritage Week is returning for the fifth year from the 12th until the 22nd of September

Birmingham Heritage Week

The city-wide festival celebrates Birmingham’s rich and diverse heritage, by running a series of events such as exhibitions, talks, tours and workshops across the city.

The festival hosts over 200 events over the 11-day period, with support from Jewellery Quarter BID, Birmingham City Council, Birmingham Museums and Scantech Digital.

Birmingham Heritage Week is all about celebrating the heritage of the city and coins the slogan ‘Your Heritage. Your Stories. Your City.’, which perfectly encapsulates the ambiance of the festival.

JQ Heritage

Birmingham Jewellery Quarter

With the Jewellery Quarter having such an affluent and rich history, many of the #BHeritageWeek events take place in the quarter. Attendees of the festival can enjoy lots of events in the JQ as part of the festival, including:

  • JQ Heritage Tour
  • Museum of the Jewellery Quarter
  • Diamonds and Pearls – Musical Tour Through the Jewellery Quarter
  • Blue Plaques of the Jewellery Quarter
  • Baskerville Cemeteries Tour
  • St Paul’s Church Tour

And that’s just to name a few!

The Jewellery Quarter has always been a thriving hub of activity, and here at Breslins, we’re incredibly proud to be a part of it.

Businesses have had the opportunity to thrive here, thanks to the dedication of their owners and in part thanks to the rich history of the JQ which makes it an industrious place to be.

A few of the JQ success stories include Urban, Rock n Roll Brewhouse, Saint Kitchen, The Jewellers Arms and Rose Villa Tavern – amongst many others.
